ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK CAMPING:
There are many places in Rocky Mountain National Park to go camping.
There are five Rocky Mountain National Park camping areas: Aspenglen, Glacier Basin, Long’s Peak, Moraine and Timber Creek as well as many back-country sites. Aspenglen and Glacier Campgrounds are open from mid-May through late September. Aspenglen does not take reservations for camping. Glacier Basin and Moraine Park do take reservations. Moraine Park Campground, Long’s Peak Campground and Timber Creek are open all year round. Long’s Peak Campground only offers tent camping. These are on a first-come first-serve basis and usually fill up by mid-afternoon.
During the summer months, there is a 7 day maximum Rocky Mountain National Park camping stay while in the winter months there is a 14 day maximum stay.
Rocky Mountain National Park camping sites are, limited to 2 tents or one vehicle (RV, etc). Checkout time is noon and a separate park entrance fee applies to campers.
