Lumpy Ridge In RMNP Was Gorgeous After The Snowfall

lumpysnowfence

It was a gorgeous morning to get out and take some photographs of the new snow. I especially love to photograph Lumpy Ridge in Rocky Mountain National Park. It is only about a 2 minute drive from our home and so spectacular!

These are the rocks where Tommy Caldwell, who recently climbed the Dawn Wall at El Capitan in Yosemite, first learned to climb. Very impressive! Estes Park is so proud of him!!

The historic Stanley Hotel in Estes Park was shrouded in clouds the other morning. It was such a pretty sight with Lumpy Ridge in Rocky Mountain National Park in the background.

Orange And Brown Checkerspot Butterfly On Black Canyon Trail In RMNP

This Checkerspot butterfly was lazing along Black Canyon Trail on Lumpy Ridge in Rocky Mountain National Park. He’d fly a few feet and then set down and they fly a few feet and then set down….

He seemed to be very content with the little pebbles along the trail.
