We were driving up Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park when I saw a Marmot on the hill, looking out into the distance. He was just gorgeous!

As we drove along, I could see many marmots scurrying about.

There was no one in back of us so Phil stopped the car and I clicked away. Beautiful coloring with that deep, blue sky, don’t you htink?

Marmots are a favorite of mine – they are irresistible with the chunky bodies and shiny dark eyes! Good picture!

Splendid shot against that blue sky. The sun reflection in the marmot’s eye gives it life.
