Lake Estes is usually a great place to watch the migrating birds. This year they seem a little late with all of the snow that we’ve had.

I saw this White-Faced Ibis down by the bridge. Beautiful, pre-historical looking bird, don’t you think? I love his long beak!

Yes, beautiful AND prehistoric-looking. Wonder what he thinks of all the snow? (or has it melted??) 😀

What a splendid shot, Mel! Color. composition and subject, with Ibis posed so gracefully with one foot up showing, quite distinctly and elegantly all of her toes.
