I’ve been waiting for those little marmots to come back from their winter hibernation. Well, I saw my first one near Fall River Road in Estes Park yesterday! What a treat!

He was munching away, enjoying the tall grass. Usually when I stop to take a photograph, they will get up on their hind legs and look at me and start chirping. This guy kept eating away and would occasionally look at me. And then he just lay on the ground. He looked so adorable!

It’s so good to have them back from our long winter. They are just the cutest little animals!

Welcome back, Mr. Marmot! I agree, they are simply adorable creatures with their ‘baggy’ pants and comical expressions~

    Furry, Nosy and apparently nonplussed.
