I took this black and white macro photograph of a huge Thistle plant growing along one of the trails in Rocky Mountain National Park. But when I looked at it later, I realized that you couldn’t see how huge this plant really was. So I went back and took a couple more photographs.
This Thistle was about 3-4 feet tall and about 1-2 feet in diameter. It was very different from the ones I’ve seen before. Have you ever seen a Thistle like this?











No, I have not. The first photo gives it an interesting ‘metallic’ quality. Nicely done!
