The views of Rocky Mountain National Park from Gem Lake Trail on Lumpy Ridge are just spectacular! I seem to always photograph the trail and the lake and the boot and the interesting things along the trail.
But, when you turn around or are hiking back down, the views are just incredible! You can see from Longs Peak all the way over past Flattop Mountain.
Phil took this photograph a couple of weeks ago when the mountains had quite a bit of snow but Lumpy Ridge was barren.
