Last summer we had numerous pretty Painted Lady butterflies in our yard here in Estes Park. They love to feed on the Catmint wildflowers. Many times we would see several of them on one plant at the same time. They were just gorgeous!

Here are two photographs that I just love. One is of the Painted Lady with wings spread out as she is enjoying the Catmint. The other photograph shows the underside of the Painted Lady which looks very much like camouflage.

Beautiful little butterfly, don’t you think?
