We’ve seen a lot of Mule Deer this year in Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. They seem to be everywhere.
I haven’t seen a lot of Mule Deer with a nice set of antlers so it was a special treat when this guy lay down under a tree right outside our living room window. He was in the shade and there were a lot of shadows, but I think I got a pretty good photograph of him.
Have you ever seen a Mule Deer with such a large set of antlers?
I couldn’t decide whether I liked the front view or the side view better, so I posted them both. Which one do you like?

Oh, how pretty! He looks so relaxed. How blessed you are to live among such beautiful creatures. Both photos are great!
What glorious light on these magnificent creatures and their majestic set of antlers.
I prefer the first picture. No, I have never seen a specimen such as this one in the Park. I wonder what the scientific explanation might be for their increased numbers??
