Phil and I were driving home yesterday when we saw this beautiful Bull Elk with some of his friends. I thought it would make a great photograph with the rocks in the background.
These Bull Elk all seem to hang out together in the winter. There are about 8-10 of them that we call “the Men’s Club!” We’ve seen together for years now.
He is such a majestic creature, don’t you agree?

They are amazing and powerful creatures! When I was there in the Fall, I was in awe of their size. I was also amazed at how close some people get to them. It’s easy to forget they are wild animals. Great picture!

A superb photograph of a superb creature whose magnificent horns seemed more adapted to picking fruit off a fruit tree than to fighting contests with other Bull Elks.
