I just love this black and white photograph of Twin Owls from the Black Canyon Trail along Lumpy Ridge in Rocky Mountain National Park.
Phil took this photograph on his birthday which was a glorious day and the day before the Fern Lake Fire started up again. It was in the 60s and just gorgeous…a perfect day to take a hike along Black Canyon Trail. It almost looks like snow on the ground…but not that day…
Isn’t this photograph of Twin Owls just stunning? What do you think?

I love it too!
To my eye this is a superb piece of B&W photography with a most cooperative sky to
create the striking contrast. Bravo, Phil!
