Usually I think of looking to the west to see a beautiful sunset, but the eastern sky was unbelievable this evening. I got my camera, went out on our deck and started clicking away.

The first photograph is looking east, away from the sun. It was just spectacular!

And then I happened to turn around on our deck and look west. It was amazing!

I couldn’t decide which was prettier…the sunset looking east or the sunset looking west. What do you think?

Heavens canvas! I’ve often wonder how many people take time out of their busy lives to stop and notice a beautiful sunset, for that matter all of the beauty nature has to offer! I may have to get my paint brushes out to recreate these images. Keep posting Mel!

Hard to see it as the splendid photograph that it is, Mel, as it would certainly qualify as an outstanding impressionistic painting.

Is that Eagle Cliff Mtn in the first shot. It looks familiar.
