I could tell it was a different kind of sunrise that morning. Usually the sun rises over Old Man Mountain and that’s where we get the spectacular shows.
But today I was looking out our bedroom window above Castle Rock in Rocky Mountain National Park and the sunrise was amazing! I took this photograph with my iPhone…the lighting was better. It went from a yellowy-orange color to these pinks and oranges.
Look at those colors! It was the reflected light from the sunrise that caused these unbelievable colors. Wow!

Unbelievable! I have never seen one like that one. If it had come from anyone but you I would have said that the sender painted it and then photographed it. What a glorious celebration of Phil’s birthday!
