We saw our first herd of Big Horned Sheep on Fall River Road in Rocky Mountain National Park the other day. There were about 25 of them from rams and ewes to little babies. It was a large herd.

Phil quickly stopped the car and I jumped out and ran over and clicked away. I only got a few photographs as they were eating in the tall grass. But I love how this ram is looking up from the grass…his horns are huge! Have you seen any Big Horned sheep this year yet?

Yes, but only one time crossing the road in Horseshoe Park. And have been to Park 20+ summers! Great photo.

Wow! Superb photo of this superb animal with such massive horns, which suggest incredibly powerful neck muscles, and with such keen eyes on full alert.
