Sunday was a beautiful day for a hike. It was a bit cloudy in the morning but gave way to the sun by afternoon. Phil and I decided to take a hike up Lumpy Ridge to Black Canyon Trail. It was snowier that we thought it would be at the beginning of the trail going over the ridge, but didn’t we didn’t need crampons. As we settled in to Black Canyon Trail, it was just glorious! We hiked out about an hour and then back. Black Canyon Trail is a great hike for the winter as the ice and snow melt quickly. Here’s Phil with Twin Owls at the background.
